FOUR RECEIVE FINAL YEAR BEST CIVIL ENGINEERING STUDENT PROJECT AWARDS

The Senior Minister of Works presented the awards to following four selected undergraduate final year students from local public universities at the opening ceremony of the conference and congress on 11 October:

Each winner received RM 2000.00, a medallion and a certificate. They were also offered one-year subscription free membership in Road Engineering Association of Malaysia (REAM) and a minimum six–month graduate employment internship in major corporate sector companies involved in civil engineering.

This award, under the Road Engineering Association of Malaysia’s (REAM) corporate social responsibility initiatives, was introduced in 2003.

A Committee under the REAM Education Fund chaired by Ir. Dr. Fairul Zahri bin Mohamad Abas evaluated the entries.
